Preparing for KVS Librarian written test.
-read thoroughly BLISc/MLISc notes
-read NET manuals for Library Science objective/descriptive tests(IGNOU study meterials are good)
-read current journals in the field.
-read books on school library management
-plan a school library programme(there may be questions on what you will do if selected for the library)
-Visit a nearby Kendriya Vidyalaya Library (if it is not in a good condition, think how to make it better)

i am working as a librarian in KV AFS SAMANA JAMNAGAR GUJARAT ,sir i want to classify our library books with DDC as per kv library policy. sir pls tell that there is any one software available that can classify books according to DDC OR It should be done manualy.sir pls mention sources that can help in classification.

There is no free software with DDC included. If you are not in a position to purchase a good Library management Software, please use the First three DDC summaries which are available at the link given below. I think it is enough for school libraries.
