Dear Class XII & X Students and Staff  of KV Pattom,

Do you like to document what you have missed/gained/experienced as a student/staff of KV Pattom during this COVID-19 pandemic?

Here is an opportunity to take part in a historic project, created for the  posterity, to show how you lived.

You are invited to share your reflections in the form of a write-up/graphic strip/painting/audio clip to be published as a hyperlinked E-book.

National Reading/Digital Reading Month 2020 Competitions: Register Now

KV Pattom Library celebrates National Reading/Digital Reading Month from 19 June 2020 to 18 July 2020.

What is National Reading Month?

The Library plans a number of events and competitions for students in connection with the month-long celebration. All competitions are conducted in online mode. Students and parents are requested to go through the details.

You may register for Competitions No. 2, 3, & 4 together in a form and for 1, 5, 6, & 7 separately.

Competition 1: ‘MY LOCKDOWN DIARY’– National Online Digital Journal Writing Competition

This National level online competition for school students is organized by School Library Association (India) aimed at developing their imagination, creativity and resilience during the challenging times of the prevailing pandemic.

What to Do:

The participants have to recordan account of their

daily life (including the period under lockdown) during the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of a Digital Diary. They may express their ideas, imagination or experiences in the form of any one or multiple creative formats including text (daily diary entries, stories, poems, notes, write-ups, travelogues) accompanied by photographs/pictures/drawings or videos.

How to submit the journal: After creation, share the Digital Journal with your Librarian  at his/her email id. (

Competition 2: MY AUTHOR PADLET

What: Create a Padlet on your Favourite Author. Select your favourite author. Collect materials on or about him/her like notes, quotes, biography, images, website links, audio, videos, book extracts, book trailors, Book Talks, bibliography (list of books), profile, film/TV adaptations, reviews, quiz, drawings, paintings, etc.

This competition is conducted by P N Panicker Foundation.

The objective of essay writing competition is to give students the

opportunity demonstrate their reading, thinking and writing skills in a

well connected and compact manner.
